Christmas Scrapbook (pt1)

*****Today's post is in the form of  scrapbook pages from my digital scrapbook.  Please feel free to click on the pictures to get a better look! I certainly enjoyed creating these pages, I you'll enjoy viewing them.  *****

As you can see, we had a delightful Thanksgiving with the family.

We are still waiting on the the newest addition to the family.  Hopefully sometime in the next 2 weeks he or she will make an appearance!

In the meantime, we're making preparations and enjoying all things Christmas.  And that includes watching little Jack play Jingle Bells in his first piano recital.
When he heard the applause of the audience, he lit up like a Christmas tree, and began to clap for himself.

So Cute!

The decorating is  done....
Check it out!

That's all for now.
Check back soon for part 2 of our
Christmas Scrapbook.
In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful season of
love!

And don't forget to keep it simple!

Jack's Ball

I  cared for my favorite babies the other day.
They keep Grandmummie VERY busy!  We always try to break up the day and get outside.  It usually helps a certain 2 year old to be ready for a nap in the afternoon, too!

We usually go check out the chickens.  We can waste a lot of time in the chicken yard.  Watching chicken behavior can be very mesmerizing.

Even Baby Rhea enjoys the chickens, even though she's usually frightened of everything.

These warm spring days even get Josie wound up!

If only Pap Pap was home to take this boy for a tractor ride!....But someone 'round here has to work to pay the bills.

Jack got his football and wheel barrow out to play with.  (He likes to push the football around in the wheel barrow.)

At some point, Josie stole the football.

Let me tell ya, ol Jack was not happy about that.

He marched right over and got his ball back!

The look on his face is priceless...

Jack brought the ball back, plopped it in the wheel barrow.  He looked up at me and said, "Jack's ball."

Too funny!!

There's Nothing Like It.......Readiing with the grandbabies

There's nothing like spending quality time with the grandbabies, nestled in close, reading books.

Jack loves reading books.  I think he also enjoys that one on one attention he gets when we're reading.  Grandmummie enjoys it too!

I especially enjoy reading Bubba and Beau books.

Have you seen them?
If you have little people in your life, I recommend them.  They are very fun to read.
You MUST read them though with a southern (Texas) accent.  It makes reading them so much fun!

It won't be long now until Rhea will want to squeeze in on the action too!!
That should double the fun!

Do you have any books you enjoy reading to your wee ones?
I'd love to hear about them!

Foto Friday- She's 6 months old!!

My grand girl is 6 months old already.  I'm not sure how that happened.   She is so adorable...and so precious.  So to commemorate this milestone, I created a photo.  I actually made 3 of them. I'm not sure which version I like the best.  Do you have a favorite???

When Rhea's big brother, Jack, turned 6 months, I made one for him too. We used to call him the Michelin Man.  Are those ripples cute or what!?

Well, that's all for now.  Have a happy Friday.
If you're a grandma, enjoy those grand babies.
They grow very FAST!!

Foto Friday- Jack's Gingerbread House

A friend of mine from the YMCA was sweet enough to give me an assembled gingerbread house for me and Jack to decorate.  All I had to do was whip up some royal frosting.

We had a great time.  I kept saying,

"No, don't eat it.  Put it on the roof!"

Oh well, he had fun decorating AND eating!

Foto Friday- Dipping (and more)

 Happy Friday!

Today's Photos were taken of my favorite guy earlier this week .
These first photos were taken at my moms house (Jack's great great grandma) when we stopped by to take a dip (or 2).

Taking a dip in the pool....Jack loves the water.

We worked up an appetite! ..... Time for lunch.
PB&J

Dipping Cukes!  Jack loves DIPPING,
and he loves Ranch dressing.

So why not DIP your PB&J too! Mmmmm.

Jack and his mommy in the garden
Had to throw this pic in....I love Sunflowers....so happy!

Yep.  She's Ready!

I love this pic.  His mommy was putting him in his carseat when
she realized he needed a new diaper.  So she marched him
back into the house.  The look on his face is
PRICELESS!
